How is VVS Laxman allowed to be in Star sports panel after taking over as NCA chief?

He isn't officially appointed yet.. I don't think there was any invitations for applications as well.. The only thing done was to convince him to apply for the role similar to David's appointment as coach... Only after his official appointment, he will have to resign with Star Sports until then he is free to continue as he wish..
