Last I bought premium, hotstar had Hooq, Nat Geo and hbo.
Now they are removing Hooq and have added Disney+ for additional 500 doesn't make sense to me.
Yeah.. Hooq has been removed from Channels as well. Most Hooq contents are already gone. Few titles like Killing Eve, The Office, etc are still there, but with a "Leaving Hotstar Soon" message.
And you can't even find those titles using the Search now.

yes i agree with him since hooq had some really good shows plus diney+ content right now is not even one-third of the content which is there in usa and uk,etc.therefore adding 500 rs to the subscription is not a very good move by hotstar atleast they should get all the content from disney plus or decrease the price for premium.if you check the app they heavily lack in disney original shows like wizards of waverly place ,etc. i thiink they should add these shows as fast as they can because of the lockdown since it will be very profitable for them
First of all they never hiked prices when they got Hooq so questioning them on basis of hike of prices for Disney+ shouldn't be the case. They never intended to loose Hooq content, they are loosing it because Hooq decides to shut down its services. And secondly Disney+ costs like 600 bucks a month and they have hiked just 500 bucks per year. Could not really argue with the price hike they intended for Disney plus. Thats my opinion.
HBO + FX + Showtime + Inhouse Hulu Originals +21CF TV Studios +Disney+ on top of all the Indian content and sports is worth for 1499 bro! U can't argue with the content quality, most of them stand for standard and not like Netflix for which Indian subs paying 499 /months for basic plan cannt argue with price point of Hotstar at the moment.
.
P.s :it's my opinion! I have some issues with Hotstar app but not with the content they are offering. Imo Hotstar has the best catalog of premium shows on offering which is second to none in India.
