The symbol should show regardless of whether you connect home theater. The app doesn't check all those.

But I connect HT, dolby 5.1 visible now...why?
Any idea?

It shows when you connect through HT, I have not checked whether it identifies if HT is connect through ARC

If it shows only connected to HT then the TV have 5:1 audio then it should show as I think...Bcoz it matters Dolby 5:1 audio to be active...
Anyway I will check by removing HT connection which is optical cable...My HT doesn't have ARC as it's old...

Disconnected Optical cable from Binge+ box,removed HDMI cable from HT and checked in TV too....I am getting 5:1 icon as usual...

Same as like my airtel xstream box hotstar app.
Only problem with my sony android tv, previously show(5.1) but after new update (3.4.7).not show 5.1 tag in my tv.

In TV app version for me is 3.4.8...
Try manual update...
