Netflix is cracking down on users who share their account password with people outside their household. Some users have reported seeing a pop-up box appear when they try to sign in using someone else's account.

They are then prompted to either sign up for a free trial, or have a verification code sent to the email or phone number associated with the account.

Netflix once said it 'had to live with' password sharing. That has changed

2 minutes of silence for SplitSub.

There is a loop hole....
Once the otp received obviously by the owner then he can share in the Splitsub...
There it's done...
That depends. Seller has to be always be available to answer to customer's request. Sooner or later Netflix will find about these accounts and ban them anyway.

Maybe that happen....
If they able to block/ban these accounts then finally Netflix will loose many subscribers...I think there r lots of sharing accounts and maybe up to 40% active subscriptions...
BTW according to Netflix Rs 299 mobile plus plan will let users stream in HD, give access to more devices
rs 499/- SD plan for TV under testing..

Netflix consider itself a premium service. It doesn't like users selling and buying their subscription. They don't care about losing resellers. Meanwhile that ₹499 plan is a stupid idea. No one's paying ₹499 for SD subscription. It's better to add ₹500 more and buy an Amazon Prime subscription.

Yes...Their ego will ruin them itself...See now they started different plans to attract subscribers one way or other...

Netflix is trying every way possible to bring their subscriber base down. As if the hit they took because of Disney+ & HBO Max weren't enough. Forget about their 1:69 (good to bad) ratio of Netflix Originals. Can't even remember the last time I watched a Netflix Original show. They limit the number of screens, they limit the types of devices, they limit the steaming quality, and now we can't even share our accounts.

Recently, during their earnings call, when one of the Analysts asked regarding Disney+ 's ever growing subscriptions, they replied casually like in India they offer the service at cheaper prices and its contributing 30% of their subscriptions. As if Disney or some others stopping them to offer compelling plans in India to grow their subs. They never gonna understand Indian market for sure atleast in the next few years by then people would have got a primary OTT subscription and some others which they like. By then it will be too late for them to penetrate.

If they would have made a plan like 199 a month or 1999 a year, with FHD, 1 stream across Devices they would have improved a lot in India.

With those posh crap reality shows. It's clear their target base is rich and NRIs. They have lost touch with common folks. Even the series they are recently producing are clear indication that they are trying to be Mubi. Look at the last few Indian originals of Prime Video and Netflix. You will see a huge difference in content offering.
