Netflix CEO Reed Hastings had recently said the company was “frustrated” that it couldn’t get subscriber growth momentum going in India.

So if Netflix were to crack down on password sharing in a price-sensitive market such as India, it could lose its subscriber base to other platforms, experts say.

Many of my friends are in Netflix groups where 8-10 people are sharing the same account. 😂

They are forgetting one thing , India is full of creative people . No wonder , they will trick this out too 😉

They cant control device & ip combinations on mobile data networks.
If they want to restrict then can be done..already we can check the streaming activities in the account including ip and device...once all devices info removed by them then it shows all newly logged devices...once it reached certain number of devices they can block logging or remove the 1st logged device like sonyliv does...in sonyliv we cant login more than total 5 devices including browser...in sunnxt we cant even login more than 4devices...5th is not allowed to login...
So y cant netflix do that in another way...the owner of account may has to give info of all other devices ,ip details if he want to share passwords..
