They tried the same thing in some other countries. Don't know if it helped gained users. Series are made to be enjoyed on big screens. I say acquire some new bollywood titles. Make this plan for all devices on 4K. Then I'll happily pay for a month. Also if you don't want users to abuse your subscription. Make premium only accessible on 2 registered device.

Launched now. Available with weekly and monthly terms.

Does tablets qualify as mobile devices?

OMG, looks like they are still sleeping. Now many apps are there with which we can stream anything for free on big screens. Developing technology is good thing but creating a few changeless too in terms of business and jobs . They should give price like amazon prime or hotstar if really looking bigger picture!!

Indian streaming sites like Hotstar, ZEE5 needs daily and weekly plans. It's Indian audience. They are not known to shell out ₹1000 bucks for the content easily accessible for free on illegal sites. Due to poor anti piracy laws most of us instead of spending money on streaming services uses free alternatives instead. If the content was easily available at cheap prices. No one would go to possible virus infected sites to download content.

For hotstar it's starting and for ZEE5 its available for AVoId Users for free so if you really like to watch them just login via any activated Airtel number.
On hotstar it seems VIP will be included in Jio subscription.

Netflix will roll out cheaper Mobile-Only plans in India. Netflix was testing Rs. 250 plan from March which restricts the usage of service to one mobile device and offers only the standard definition viewing (~480p). The new plan will launch in Q3.
