Brought Bengaluru metro RBL bank National common mobility card, registered online by filling in some KYC details & the card was collected at a metro station by paying fees of ₹50.

The recharged amount in the card cannot be used directly, the required amount should be first transferred from online to offline balance by logging in to the website then the card has to be tapped on the CTT device located at a metro station to use the balance for the metro transactions.

The card can also be used in other state metros & buses where NCMC card is accepted.

ICICI Rupay contactless debit cards are now NCMC enabled. You can get the metro service enabled at the counter and even add balance to the card. Online recharge feature isn't available sadly as of now.

does anyone used Airtel payment bank NCMC card?

does it require recharge balance or direct use money from airtel paymnet bank account

FAQ says this
  1. Airtel Payments Bank offers three variants of RuPay NCMC Cards: Debit Card, Prepaid Card, and PPI MTS Card. Each variant is designed to cater to different customer needs and use cases, providing varying levels of functionality across transit, PoS, e-commerce, and ATM transactions.
which one you have used?

how to get this
Can be acquired only if you issue a new debit card through your home bank branch, internet banking or yono. Then at the time of card selection you will have to specifically select rupay NCMC enabled debit card - contactless. Also debit card can be issued only if previous card is blocked/ expired.

Not really, just Rupay debit card if you select it is by default Rupay platinum contactless debit card. My previous one was not contactless so I just opted for block and reissue and I got the contactless one.
At that time NCMC was not enabled since icici was not certified by NPCI for it. But now that they are certified, the ones who already have the card can also start using it for NCMC.

I think we cannot use ICICI DC currently as there is no way to top up this card.

block and reissue
Yes I understood it, but the channels of acquiring the card will be like as I mentioned only na? I didn't quite get you, like platinum or not that is solely on user's discretion, we have to select either mastercard/visa/rupay variant atleast that's how in my bank I got operated upon.

The metro station will be able to load balance into the NCMC when you pay them in cash or if they have the option of charging your savings account balance for that transaction. In Mumbai I've seen the Bus conductors device having this option of using online balance to recharge the offline wallet. But cash load at the metro window will surely work now that it is activated. You can ask them to create the service area also onto the card at the same time.
Online balance add feature will get added in imobile soon, or it will be available through Bharat connect eventually.

I had got mine by requesting the phone banking officer but yes channels will be more or less the same. Also what I meant was that you can only select the card network as Rupay, it doesn't need any further specifications for platinum or contactless or NCMC, all of that will be managed by default the moment you opt for Rupay debit card.
