The 216-feet tall Statue is made of ‘panchaloha’, a combination of five metals gold, silver, copper, brass, and zinc. The inauguration is part of the 12-day celebration of Sri Ramanujacharya's 1,000th birth anniversary. It is located on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The foundation stone was laid in 2014 and the 1,000-crores project was funded entirely by donations. It is the second largest statue in the world in sitting position.

It is mounted on a 54-ft high base building, named ‘Bhadra Vedi’, has floors devoted for a Vedic digital library and research centre, ancient Indian texts, a theatre, an educational gallery detailing many works of Sri Ramanujacharya.

It is surrounded by the replicas of 108 holy shrines from many parts of the country including Tirumala, Ayodhya, Badrinath.

Don't want all this Crap about Statues, Spend more on Infrastructure & Employment rather than wasting money on Statues.

Bro, Govt didn't spend money on this. Modi visited it just to Inaugurate it. It is funded entirely by donations only.

Maybe think it like Delhi's Akshardham. It is not a govt's property.

its good in one way , for long term efforts they also need to work along with all states to promote inter language exchange programmes and Indian culture similarities shared by all Indian states should be translated in all Indian languages in both digital and physical books.
