GLAD TO INFORM YOU REGARDING MY NEW HUAWEI MOBILE BROADBAND E 173. SEEMS IT WAS IMPORTED TO INDIA (STC MEANS SAUDI TELECOM COMPANY). I BROUGHT THIS FROM SHOP CLUES FOR 1199/-
I USED VODAFONE 2G FOR CONNECT TO INTERNET AND FOLLOWING ARE THE SETTINGS

madankumar i didnot try 3g but i got 256kpbs speed on vodafone gprs sim. i have seen this speed shows in taskbar.

thats a good speed for 2G tup also if possible can you check http://speedtest.net/ and share what speed it shows. that would give a better picture of what exact speed we get. i plan to get a dongle, so it would be helpful. :sp

256kpbs is default 2g data rate,so check with speed test sites.
madhan brother HUAWEI is good and cheep,but consider wifi when purchase

I use ZTEMF 190 dongle from last 3years.
It provides around 220kbps in vodafone 2g.
And in aircel 3g,It provides full speed 3.6/7.2 mbps on your requirement.:tup

aircel is worst,if i recharge for 1 gb i can use one night (appx 4 hrs),5 GB 2 days (appx 9 hrs),they send usage message after free quota end.but when i used airtel it will give 9 hrs for 2.5 gb.and also Vodafone is vv good.

But data usage not dependent on time, I mean 1 gb can be used for a week or it can be consumed within 3 hours depending on the usage....

i preferred this modem because its supported by my tplink wifi router 3020
