Hi Sacoeguy, I bought it from duty-free for $90, you can get it for a retail price of $99 (US) through the Apple online store :)

REVIEW

1. Like all other Apple devices the first thing that strikes you is the simplicity of its design. Small, tidy, light and fantasic :)

2. The remote has a slim, sleek look and yet it is convenient and easy to use except for typing (you have to use on-screen keyboard for typing or use i-phone/ mac to type).

3. Easily connects with all your Apple devices like iPhone, iPod, iPad, Macbook etc and plays all media (like photos, music, movies and other videos) from these devices using AirPlay to your TV (and Music System). Didn't try the iCloud functionality yet but have heard good reviews about it.

4. Has a strong receiver to connect with Wi-Fi though speed of internet should be high to beam HD content from net seamlessly.

5. Most useful programs include Youtube, Flickr (for images), Vimeo & NetFlix (for videos). Also exclusive contents like podcasts & HD trailers for Apple fans :)

6. Does not have any App for Facebook, Skype or any e-mail client. It better to say it is not designed for these Apps as the remote needs to have a keypad for FB or mail application.

7. The HDMI cable does not come in the box, so you have to purchase it separately.

VERDICT: Good & simple device for an Apple fan (must have considering the price & connectivity to Apple devices & iCloud) but not as effective as other inherent Smart TVs (Samsung & LG) in the market

so being an apple fan you have bought it..i dont find it unique.can you tell for what purpose you have gone to this one.for using apps on your tv? i think its not great to use apps on tv bt i wonder why these companies do.then why do we have pc,tablets, laptops etc.i dont have satisfaction of using apps on tv like i am using in my laptop.

Well, I simply like the connectivity between Apple devices...and this one helps me to play videos etc from my iPhone & Mac to a bigger screen in HD format...i don't need to use FB or Skype in a TV as of now :)

Last but not the least, I like Apple products ... and you know "Love is Blind" ;)

yeah tech genie...apple lovers are more loyal.. ha ha!as your are having whole apple gadgets then its must buy.for others a simple bluray player or HD media player will do the need.if u had samsung led tv then you can play popular media formats right from your tv usb & hdd.no need of media player..
