Well one can criticize where government or any minister takes wrong way or stand but unfortunately in India most people tend to go overboard even when doing so and manier times twist /turn statements to give a new angle.
Here in above case Mrs. Sitharaman was just giving candid response to question put forward by another MP, question was "Whether u consume onions every day?" ... To this honorable minister gave a similar casual response "I don't eat onions and in my family too we avoid it bcoz of traditional reasons". What was wrong in this? We know that people from different parties engage in such conversations so we should take it in a lighter manner rather than finding non existent points to malign anyone.
All political parties should develop certain decorum, code of conduct, principles to abide by while interacting or working alongside others, this is basic essential to move ahead in good governance otherwise disruptions, arguments serve no meaningful purpose rather than just scoring political points which get ratings for TV channels. Even if 10 or 20% of amount of energy/time which is currently spent on sloganeering or tussles is spent in important tasks or debates then it can bring in great results
