3. Jio still has no network setup in Feb 2025, so people with Jio sim should keep that in mind if travelling with Mumbai Line 3

This was in Feb 2025 and today in April 2025, Reliance Jio still does not operate there

this has been an issue which I have been raising since the first day of public operations 5 months ago, only today a mainstream news outlet covered this issue

this is an interesting bit
so Airtel and Vi agreed to work together, but Jio didn't

Jio didn't agree because Airtel and Vi both operate 2G too? But I didn't catch 2G signals there, so probably not
Jio didn't agree, maybe because they want to deploy 5G SA ?

Whatever it, maybe it's one of the factors reducing metro's footfall, lol

points 1 & 2 are from Oct 2024

Why jio bheaves like this. Whats their problem in sharing infrascture and other equiment with other operators.

Jio network is only available in Antilla. In Delhi NCR their network is not available even on ground. To get their network you have to search their tower and stand near it. Lalaji is not spending money and just sucking public's hard earned money.

It's not reluctant to share infrastructure, Jio is saying that the in building connectivity in the underground stations and tunnels is exclusively controlled by ACES which is the official partner of MMRCL and the fees being charged by ACES for letting operators use this infrastructure is very high and unviable.

It's not just Jio even Airtel and Vi are finding this high and even though they are currently paying ACES for this service they may not continue to do so for long. In fact all 3 of them have jointly written to MMRCL asking it to either coordinate with ACES and get them to lower the charges or to let them wire the station and tunnels with their own small cell transponders for the benefit of the commuters.

yeah exactly

i feel something is fishy with this whole thing
since in Kolkata ,Howrah Maidan to Esplanade green line which goes under Hooghly river has all 3 networks setup

then how is Metro line 3 saying that there isnt enough space

I think all both Airtel and Vi should stop operating in such an environment

what's even worse is ,the IBS thing isn't even that optimised, there have been times when my phone loses signals when the train is moving underground

One of the main reasons why i avoid travelling in it has to be non-availability of Jio network and if Airtel and vi pull out too

lmao i ain't going at all

Understandable in this case what i am trying to say jio did not also allow tenant ( enode of other operators)on their owned towers.
