I came as a student and never went away, brought dad as well here after retirement, he was reluctant though. Stayed in Thane till 2022 and now part of Navi Mumbai.

Yes it's a satellite city of Mumbai and another one called NAINA is also being developed as a new satellite city.

NAINA will take lot of time. Since last thirteen years nothing is happening with regards to it.

Its in Maharashtra only and others State still saying Mumbai (Thane, Navi Mumbai) doesn't matter for them, they keep saying our relatives stay in Mumbai.
