Motorola is known to roll out
timely software updates, but
hasn’t been quite quick with the
Android Lollipop.
The company has released Android
5.0 Lollipop to its most recent
devices like the Moto G first
generation, and also the second
generation Moto G and Moto X
devices. Recently, it also
announced Lollipop soak test for
the uber-budget Moto E.
However, there has been no word
on the update for the first gen
Moto X . Motorola has now
disclosed on its Support Twitter
page that it is still working on the
update.
@ac2k9 Moto X (1st Gen) will get
L, but chipset requires more effort.
We're working to deliver
satisfactory experience,
performance.

It has been already announced
that the first-generation Moto X
would receive all major features of
the Moto X (Gen 2), which do not
depend on hardware.It will receive
the new Moto Voice app.
However, Motorola software
engineer Luciano Carvalho had
also confirmed that the first
generation Moto X would not
receive features such as Best
Photo from Camera/Gallery and
the Moto Actions features that
depend on IR sensors.
The company recently cut the
price of the Moto E by Rs 1,000,
and the device was sold at Rs
5,999.
