Motorola has announced that it has started rolling out Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for Droid 4 owners in United States. The update will be released in phases, so no everyone will get it right-away.

“We’re happy to announce today that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean upgrade is rolling out to DROID 4 by Motorola owners in phases. This upgrade offers many features to help organize and make your life easier, including expanded notifications, Voice Search and Google Now,” Motorola noted in a blog post.

Here is the update change-log:

  • Expanded Notifications
  • Voice Search
  • Google Now
  • Project Butter improvements
  • Better widget support
  • Offline voice-typing
  • Personalize home screen easily by placing widgets directly on the screen.
  • Improved voice and data connectivity.
  • Calendar settings have been improved for a better user experience.
  • Improved reliability and connectivity of Back Up Assistant Plus & Visual Voicemail.
  • Mobile Hotspot data connectivity has been improved.
  • Sling and MOG application preloads have been removed.

The update will also bring the a leaner version of Motoblur interface on the phone, which is much much closer to the stock version right now.
