Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update starts rolling out

Samsung has started rolling out Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy S3, earlier than expected. Samsung announced earlier this month that the Android Jelly Bean update would be available for the Galaxy S3 in October and for the Galaxy S2 in November.

This update would bring faster performance, Reorganized settings menu, 2 Homescreen modes, S Note, Google Now service, contextual search, Better notifications, Resizable Pop-up play screen and more new features.

The update is about 774MB and is now available for Galaxy S3 users in Poland via Kies. It would be gradually rolled out for other countries soon.

Galaxy S III Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update now seeding​

The moment Samsung Galaxy S III owners have been waiting is upon us, as the rollout of the the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update has begun. After many leaks, the software update has started its official march to your Galaxy S IIIs.

The first country to start receiving the update is Poland, but the rest of Europe should join the fun soon. The firmware can be obtained OTA or via KIES. Samsung recommends you are on a Wi-Fi connection with at least 50% battery when you apply the update.
