Guest motivational speaker, Mike Horn, has said he is keen to help the beleaguered Indian team.

Born in South Africa, Horn said he has been following the India versus England series very closely.

"Yes, I have been following the performance of the Indian team and very disappointed with the loss and number-one Test ranking," said Horn, who was speaking from Canada.

Horn said he is eager to guide the Indians out of their present state and the Board needs to look into it. "The request has to come from the team management and I will be in England with next available flight," he said.

Horn shot into limelight for some crazy feats which included the 6,700-km descent of the Amazon by hydrospeed - solo and unassisted.

He gave motivational lectures to the Indian team before the last World Cup. "That was at the requests of Paddy Upton and Gary Kirsten. They are now with the South African team but my first choice is India rather than South Africa, because I got engaged with the Indian team first," Horn added.

Horn says he sometimes still engages with the Indian side: "It was a great time when we won the World Cup. Thereafter, we exchanged messages and shared ideas occasionally."

When asked what would be his immediate message to the team, he responded: "Get your basics right and concentrate more on the game," Horn felt.
