Microsoft on Wednesday said its Windows 7 users will not get any security and technical updates from January 14, 2020 onwards.

Microsoft asked Windows 7 users to switch to Latest OS. Microsoft said that it is working on making devices available at affordable prices and also working on options to roll out buyback or exchange offers.

Microsoft to stop updates for Windows 7 from January 14, 2020: Here's all you need to know | Tech News
For me, Windows 7 is the best OS of all time. If, 18 years after it was released, many people can still use XP, what about the crores of people who use 7? Many people will not want to upgrade, so this end-of-support thing means nothing to them.

They're doing what they did to XP. After 2020 MS will pull the plug on 7, then eventually developers like Google and Mozilla will stop their browser updates for 7. And then 7 will die like XP.

Both XP and 7 are the company's most popular OSes of all time, so they—particularly 7—will be very hard to kill.

It'll actually die when Mozilla and Google decide to pull to plug on browser updates for 7.
