Microsoft has added a host of new features to its OneDrive, allowing users to find and view photos easily. Keeping in mind the Pokémon mania, the Redmond based giant also added a Poké detector feature that makes it easier to find all Pokémon screenshots at one place. “When you have the OneDrive app on your phone and camera upload is turned on, the screenshots you take from the game are automatically saved to OneDrive and 150 Pokémon are identified for your searching and viewing pleasure,” said Douglas Pearce, group program manager for the OneDrive team. Users can also look for screenshots by a Pokémon name.

There’s also Automatic albums, On this day and photo folders features. Microsoft has improved search for OneDrive photos and updated its Photos app. The Automatic albums automatically detects if users click a few pictures in a short period of time, and in a particular location. OneDrive then takes the highest quality photos and creates an album of the pictures. The albums can be shared on OneDrive.com, on mobile app or via the Windows 10 Photos app. It has also addded Monday morning albums that will automatically be created every Monday using pictures clicked over the weekend.

OneDrive’s Automatic albums feature is similar to
Google’s smart albums launched in March. Google’s smart albums automatically organizes photo albums curated with the best shots. The feature allows users to add text/captions to their Google Photo albums and share them. Users can manually enter maps, locations, pins and text; and others to add their own pictures to the album.
