NEW DELHI: Google storage offers 7GB free storage to store data. This is shared between contacts, pictures, profile information and other data specific to Google services.

Although all this is saved online, what if you want to take another backup? Google now offers their own service to backup all your data called Google Takeout.

Simply visit www.google.com/takeout and sign-in with your usual id. Once you log in, you will see tabs to either backup all your online data collectively or to choose the specific service you want the data to be backed up from.

Once you are done with the selection, Takeout will show you a progress bar with the size of data being backed up and give you a download link.

Simply download the zip file and save it on your computer as a backup. The service requires you to provide your password multiple times for security.
