BIHARSHARIF: A man allegedly hacked his wife and daughter to death, cut their bodies into pieces and dumped those in a newly built structure in his house at Parasdiha in Bihar's Nalanda district, police said on Monday.

Twice married Yogendra Prasad killed his first wife Sumitra Devi (30) and their daughter Nidhi Kumari (8) with a dagger and dumped their bodies in a hurriedly build structure on Saturday, Superintendent of Police Nishant Kumar Tiwari said.

Getting information from locals, police dismantled the structure and recovered the bodies and the dagger.

Police arrested Prasad, who is a mason, his parents and second wife who allegedly played roles in the twin murder.

Meanwhile, the Director General of Police Abhayanand has congratulated the police for cracking the case within six hours of receiving information about it and announced a cash reward for the cops involved in the investigation.
