LinkedIn has given its desktop website a major overhaul. The largest professional social network is calling it “the largest desktop redesign” since LinkedIn’s inception in 2003.
The first thing you will notice about the update is the cleaner homepage that results into streamlined navigation. LinkedIn has introduced Facebook-like feed and now the feed on top features the usual search tab along with home, my network, jobs, messaging, notifications, your profile and more. Moving on, the update has added rolled out real-time messaging that lets you message a connection. Users are now able to search for profiles, jobs and companies directly from the site’s main search bar. Finally, LinkedIn has improved the feed with to offer more personalized and relevant content to users. It has made it easier to discover relevant professional news and insights, quickly join professional conversations about your industry, and access new job opportunities.
LinkedIn says the revamped design is aimed at making its desktop site in line with its mobile app, which was given a similar redesign last year.
