Lenovo on Monday, at the ongoing CES 2015 event in Las Vegas, expanded its Vibe smartphone lineup by introducing the Vibe X2 Pro. It also launched the Lenovo P90 handset.

The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro is the upgraded version of the previously announced Lenovo Vibe X2. While the price is still unknown, the smartphone will launch in April this year.

Featuring the same iconic 'layered' design, the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with an overlaid Vibe 2.0 user interface. The smartphone also features a larger 5.3-inch full-HD display as compared to its predecessor's 5-inch screen size.

As for the processor, Lenovo has stuffed its Vibe X2 Pro with a 1.5GHz octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset (Cortex A53 CPU) alongside 2GB of RAM. 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is also expandable via a microSD card, comes housed inside the Vibe X2 Pro.

While the rear camera stays the same at 13-megapixels, the front-facing camera gets a huge jump from 5-megapixel in Lenovo Vibe X2 to a 13-megapixel sensor. This makes the Vibe X2 Pro fall in the same league as the HTC Desire Eye, which also flaunts front and rear 13-megapixel cameras. However, the Vibe X2 Pro misses out on an LED flash for its front-facing camera like seen on the Desire Eye.

To fulfil the missing feature, Lenovo additionally announced Vibe Extension, an additional flash extension which gets plugged in the Vibe X2 Pro's 3.5mm headphone port. Users can click 'Picture-perfect selfies' using the accessory's eight diffused LEDs.

Backed by a slightly upgraded battery (2410mAh), the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro measures 146.3x71.0x6.95mm, weighs 140 grams and supports LTE Category 4 networks. The smartphone will be available in Champagne Gold, Rock Pink and Electric Blue colour variants.

The Lenovo P90, which was also introduced by the company at CES 2015, features a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS LCD display with a 440ppi pixel density. The firm has not mentioned the price of the smartphone but has stated the handset to hit the shelves by next month.

The P90 runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box and is the company's first device to run on a combination of a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor (2MB Cache, 4-Cores, 4-Thread, 1.8GHz Burst Frequency) with Intel's 5-mode XMM 7262 modem. This will also let Lenovo P90 support LTE-Advanced FDD/TDD connectivity. Besides 2GB of RAM, P90 also houses 32GB of inbuilt storage as seen on the Vibe X2 Pro.

The Lenovo P90 sports the same combination as used with the older Vibe X2 smartphone - 13-megapixel rear and 5-megaixel front-facing cameras. The device however comes with a larger 4000mAh battery.

Measuring 150x77.4x8.5mm and weighing 156 grams, the Lenovo P90 will be available in Pearl White, Lava Red and Onyx Black colour variants.
