Lenovo has launched an upgraded variant of its K6 Power smartphone 4GB of RAM. The new variant is scheduled to go on sale, along with the 3GB RAM variant, via Flipkart on January 31 at 12PM. The Lenovo K6 Power with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage is priced at Rs 9,999, whereas the 4GB of RAM with 32GB storage variant will set you back by Rs 10,999.

The talking point of the Lenovo K6 Power smartphone is its massive 4,000mAh battery. From what the company claims, the battery is good enough to offer up to 48 hours of talktime and up to 649 hours on standby mode. Other than that, the smartphone comes with a new feature called App lock, which lets users set a lock on apps like WhatsApp via fingerprint scanner. Usually, people need to download third party apps to be able to set locks on app. Also, the smartphone supports dual app feature which will lets you run two accounts on apps like WhatsApp, and Hike Messenger to name few others. Basically, on the same device, you can run two different profiles, separated by the same app (for instance WhatsApp) installed on both the profiles with different listed contacts.

Lenovo K6 Power specifications

The smartphone features a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with pixel density of 441ppi, 450-nit brightness, and 178-degree viewing angle. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor paired with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB on-board storage, and a microSD card slot for additional storage.

On the photography front, the smartphone is equipped with a 13-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor camera with LED flash, Pro-mode, PDAF support, slow motion and time lapse. Up front, the K6 Power comes with an 8-megapixel Sony IMX219 camera with wide-angle lens and beautification mode and can shoot up to 1080p videos. On the connectivity front, the smartphone comes with dual-SIM support, 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, USB OTG support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. On the software front, the smartphone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow-based on top of Lenovo’s Vibe UI.

With the given specifications, the Lenovo K6 Power will compete against the newly launched
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 . It features a larger 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display with 2.5D Curved Glass on top. Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz, which is accompanied by 4GB of RAM and 64GB on-board storage, which is further expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

In the photography department, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 comes with a 13-megapixel lens on the rear end. Up front, the smartphone houses a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. For power, the Redmi Note 4 surpasses what is the talking point of Lenovo K6 Power, with a 4,100mAh battery.
