Lava today launched yet another affordable smartphone in its A-series, called the A59. The smartphone is priced at Rs 4,199, and it will be offered in black and white color variants. The smartphone is listed on the company’s website, but there is no word on the availability.
Lava A59 specifications, features:
The smartphone sports a 4.5-inch (800×480 pixels) FWVGA TFT display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. It also comes with 4GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
On the camera front, the Lava A59 features a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA selfie camera up front, both with flash. The smartphone comes with 1,750mAh battery, and includes connectivity options like 3G support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 and 3.5mm jack.
On the software front, it runs on Android Lollipop 5.1, and includes features like smart screenshot, video PIP feature which shrinks the video allowing users to perform other tasks simultaneously. Another interesting feature is the ‘Smart Music’ that allows users to change music without unlocking the screen.
Looking at the specifications, the Lava A59 will be up against smartphones like Reliance Digital LYF Flame 3, Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus and Intex Cloud Fame to name a few. All three smartphones come with a better set of specifications than Lava’s smartphone.
The Reliance Digital LYF Flame 3 has the advantage of boasting 4G with VoLTE support, which makes it future-proof. The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus and Intex Cloud Fame support 4G and run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow as well.
