Lenovo has launched its latest 4G smartphone, the A7000,
in India. The phone, the successor to the successful A6000,
has a larger a 5.5-inch 720p HD display. It will also be the
first mobile device to feature Dolby’s stunning Atmos
technology. Unlike the A6000, this phone is powered by a
1.5 GHz octa-core Mediatek MT6752m processor and not
Qualcomm. This means the phone has one of the best
benchmark scores in a phone of this price range. Lenovo
A7000 will be available only on Flipkart. The smartphone
runs on Android Lollipop OS with Vibe UI.

Microsoft Devices has launched the Lumia 640 and Lumia
640XL in India. The Lumia 640XL, one of the largest
phones from the Lumia stable with a 5.7-inch screen, is
priced at Rs 15,799 while the smaller Lumia 640 is priced
Rs 11,999. The phone also features the Lumia camera app
and will come in five traditional Lumia colours.Both the new
Lumia smartphones offer one-year free subscription to
Microsoft Office 365. Featuring a 5-inch 720p HD display,
the Lumia 640 comes with an 8MP rear camera with LED
flash and a 1MP front camera. It runs on a 1.2GHz quad-
core Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU with 1GB of RAM and
8GB internal storage which can be expanded.

Sandisk has announced a host of mobile memory solutions
for the Indian market.

Among the products launched are
200GB micro-SD cards for Android devices, iXpand Flash
drives for iOS devices and Dual flash drive USB C-type
connectors. The iXpand flash drive will cater to iOS devices
and offer up to 128GB extra space.

The iXpand will come
with a lightning connector as well as a USB a port to allow
quick transfer of data between iOS and computers.
Interestingly, it will let iOS a users run all possible video
types from the external drive itself. The codecs are loaded
into the drive letting users to play from the drive and not the
device.
Budget phablet

After launching the budget M2 smartphone in India, US
mobile brand InFocus launched its 5.5-inch M330 phablet
on April 10. The smartphone is exclusively available on
Snapdeal.com. The device sports a 5.5-inch 720p display
at 267ppi density with Corning Glass protection. Running on
a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 CPU with 2GB RAM
and 16GB ROM which can be expandable up to 64GB, the
device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system with
custom UI. The M330 offers a 13MP rear camera and an
8MP front camera.
