The former Indian cricketer Lalchand Rajput has been named the interim head coach of Zimbabwe cricket team. He will replace Heath Streak at the coveted position who was fired after the team had failed to qualify for the World Cup. They were the hosts of the ICC World Cup Qualifiers and despite ruling the tournament, crumbled at the crucial stages in the tournament. However, Rajput’s appointment that he has experience should help Zimbabwe as he has been at the helm before and his tenure with the team will be exciting.
