Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi have maintained all the four top ranks respectively in terms of foreign tourist visits in 2015.

West Bengal improved by one rank to leave Rajasthan at sixth rank. Kerala, Bihar and Karnataka retained their ranks at seventh, eighth and ninth and Goa re-entered the top 10 most visited states causing Haryana to drop out of the ranks.

The contribution of top 10 states was about 88.4 percent to the total number of foreign tourist visits (FTVs) in the country during 2015.

Here is the list of India's 10 most visited states by foreigners (Source: Ministry of Tourism)

1. Tamil Nadu (4.68 millions in 2015)
2. Maharashtra (4.41 millions in 2015)
3. Uttar Pradesh (3.1 millions in 2015)
4. Delhi (2.38 millions in 2015)
5. West Bengal (1.49 millions in 2015)
6. Rajasthan (1.48 millions in 2015)
7. Kerala (0.98 millions in 2015)
8. Bihar (0.92 millions in 2015)
9. Karnataka (0.64 millions in 2015)
10. Goa (0.54 millions in 2015)

I had visited Kodaikanal 7-8 Years back.
Was there for around 10 days.
Enjoyed it very much.
