Here what is the problem of hotstar? they are providing 50fps for Star 4K channel, 25fps for their app premium subscribers.

My Internet is 150Mbps (Jio Fiber).

When I played the Highlights package of the India VS Bangladesh match, the option was available to select the 'Asli 4K' quality (terrible naming, btw ).

And I was able to select that 4K option & the video played. But when I checked the 'Stats For Nerds' overlay for that video, it was only playing on FULL HD @25fps.

It said:
Screen Resolution: 3840x2160
Video Resolution: 1920x1080

But the same Stats For Nerds overlay listed the 3840x2160 quality as an available video resolution for that video. But no matter how long I played the video for, it never switched to 3840x2160. It stayed in 1920x1080.

To confirm what was happening, I checked a few more Asli 4K videos. Here are the Stats For Nerds results for the 'Video Resolution' field for each of those videos.

Pakistan vs New Zealand Highlights
(Asli 4K Display Resolution: 1920x1080)

Latest WPL Match Highlights
(Asli 4K Display Resolution: 1920x1080)

Ms.Marvel Series
(Asli 4K Display Resolution: 3840x2160)

So, Ms.Marvel was playing alright.

Is Jio lying to us?

Because I remember that even when Disney played LIVE cricket matches on 4K, the Highlights packages were restricted to FULL HD. The highlights packages did not have 4K even as an option to select.

Can someone else confirm this? Is this happening when the matches are shown LIVE too?

Live match in Jio STB is Asli 4K and Highlights are Nakli 4K, Our Fourm members already found.
