I was under impression that there is already such a restriction. ACT stream 4K also does the same thing. Whenever i connect it to any other iSP, it just goes blank with an error

It's already happened with me today. I had switched off my WiFi extender for some time and then message popped up on screen. Cannot connect to other internet connection as Jio Fiber connectivity is lost.

Have been getting this pop up since last evening. Wondered what was it. Anyway I dont think there is anyone who needs to use the JIO STB with some other network The case is gonna be very rare.

Will they are doing DTH or ISP? Anyway fire stick or mi box is better than these network locked boxes.

Airtel Xstream box already needs a mandatory 'active' Airtel DTH connection (costs a minimum of Rs.153/month, I believe), for the streaming part to work.
