RE: Jio preview offer now available to all 4G devices.
Reliance Jio Preview offer extended to HTC, Intex and Vivo 4G smartphones
Even as we inch closer to Reliance Jio’s commercial launch of 4G services, the telecom company is making sure its services are available across smartphone brands. Over the last few days, a number of smartphone brands have joined Reliance Jio to offer the Preview Offer under which a user gets unlimited access to Jio’s high speed 4G services along with bundled content via JioPlay and JioBeats among other Jio suite of apps. Now, Reliance Jio has extended its preview offer to smartphones from HTC, Intex and Vivo.
A slew of smartphone brands are already offering Reliance Jio’s Preview offer. Just a day ago, Jio expanded its preview offer to smartphones from Sony, Videocon and Sansui. Already popular smartphone brands like Samsung, LG, Panasonic, Asus, Micromax, YU, Alcatel, TCL, Lava, Gionee, Karbonn and Xolo are supporting Jio Preview for their compatible smartphones. Before availing the Reliance Jio Preview offer, you might want to check out our
comprehensive list of smartphones that are eligible for the 90 days offer.
The procedure for availing the Reliance Jio Preview offer remains the same. First you need to download the MyJio app from Google Play Store, and open it. Tap on the ‘Get Jio SIM’ option and enter your details, such as name, surname and contact details. After providing these details, enter state and city from a drop down menu to check availability of the offer in your area. If it’s compatible, a barcode will be generated. Now, you need to take your documents including passport size photo, ID proof and address proof to a Reliance store, and furnish them along with the barcode you have on your smartphone. The executive will give you a Reliance Jio SIM card. If your details are approved, you will get a message on your alternate number you had entered in the Jio app. Now, put the Jio SIM card in your smartphone, and dial 1977 to activate. The Reliance Jio Preview offer gets active as soon as the number is activated.
As mentioned earlier, Reliance Jio hasn’t commercially launched its services in the country. But it’s tempting Jio Preview offer has managed to create a lot of buzz. Besides free and unlimited access to Reliance’s ultra fast 4G services, users also get access to its suite of apps such as JioPlay, which is a live streaming service featuring more than 300 channels across 10 regional languages. It also has a JioBeats music streaming service along with a JioOnDemand for on-demand video services. The JioMoney is a mobile wallet just like Paytm and Mobikwisk whereas JioDrive is a Google Drive-like cloud storage that offers 5GB of free storage on-the-go.
