That is how they make money. Most working people wont use that much data during weekdays. But they would need more than 1-2 gb data during weekends. So jio/others just show 28 gb data for 28 days, but most of it is unusable. Only people in service industry - meaning marketing people, agents etc will use data during weekdays. Thats where they put the small star t n c apply - not for commercial use. Actually, the best plan could be 700/- per month, 60-100 gb data, free calls. No restriction on data use per day. No speed limit. But such plans will fail during peak use in weekend due to low speeds. But it would be suitable for wfh types. So at least for now, no challenge to fiber/dsl. The speed guarantee comes at a price. Waiting for jiofiber to throw away dsl.Jio needs to give a plan in which the total data whatever is given for a month can be used without any daily limitations.
Once this flexibility is given, this is surely going to replace broadband.
