Jio introduced voice + SMS only plans after TRAI mandate; hikes value pack prices

New plans and details​

• Rs. 479 will offer only calls + sms for 84 days
• Rs. 539 (Previously Rs. 479 plan) will offer 6GB data, calling + sms for 84 days
• Rs. 1999 will offer only calls + sms for 365 days
• Rs. 2249 (Previously Rs. 1899) will offer 24GB data, calling + sms for 336 days

If the changes get updated in the My Jio app today or tomorrow then it will come into effect immediately.
If you use any of these plans it's better to recharge now and add them to the queue rather than waiting.

I think queue up the value pack recharges might be dangerous now as Telcos might remove data boosters any time soon as Airtel is already done. If you travel outside living city, then you have might face mobile data consuming threat in future as no data boosters available and you have recharge Rs.100+ for data pack only per month.

Its a small price hike, but Telcos might have strategy to restrict value pack users without mobile data in future and need to pay Rs.100+ for data booster/additional data per month.

Atleast Jio will make an announcement I guess. Hope they don't simply change like Airtel.
