Following this procedure on my redmi note 4g:
Lock LTE Bands in any Qualcomm Device ( Easiest Method ) - Redmi Note 3 - Xiaomi MIUI Official Forum

Works for any rooted qualcomm snapdragon processor phone of any brand..
If you have all 3 bands, just disable band 3. For phones that don't have band 5(like me), if signal disappears, it means no band 40 coverage in your area, so bad luck then..

I have got the message but still with old plan as per the app. So its probably converted into happy new year offer in 1st Jan. Or you saw somewhere screenshot of new offer on the app?

Ok they send message that jio offer is extended till 31 march but actually in jio app its still 31 december

I also got that msg, but I'm in old plan till now, getting 4GB/day... Maybe new plan will be active on January..
