Hi everyone, I'm experiencing high latency while gaming and could really use some advice. 🥺 I play the following games daily:

Call of Duty®: Warzone™ Mobile
Call of Duty: Mobile
Battlegrounds Mobile India
NEW STATE: NEW ERA OF BR

I'm playing over 5 GHZ Wi-Fi.
The router is in close proximity, with no obstacles between the router and my gaming device.
Despite this, I'm still getting inconsistent ping and occasional high latency during gaming sessions. It feels like I'm on a 3G connection instead of fiber—it's totally inconsistent. I've tried optimizing various settings, but the problem persists.

Has anyone else faced similar issues or have any suggestions on what I could do to reduce latency and improve my gaming experience? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

JioFiber network is not optimized for gaming. It is known to give issues at most of the places.

You can connect your own router to reduce the latency little bit. But if you want great latency then Airtel Xstream Fiber would be the most reliable choice.

I bought this for gaming, but it hasn't provided me with lower latency. I tried it with another router, but instead of reducing the latency, it increased it. I've already spent over ₹5000 on Jio, so I'm not planning to buy Airtel. If you know any settings that could help, please let me know

I use TP Link Deco XE75 router with my JioFiber connection and it reduces latency on the network which is why I suggested to use your own router. My router is based on WiFi 6E technology (therefore no separate 2.4 & 5 Ghz bands). I don't know if the WiFi 6 technology plays a role for latency reduction.

If the network itself is having issues, changing router can not make much effect.

How much latency/ping you get on Ookla Speedtest.net results?

Can you send screenshot in ookla , cloud flare how much ping, latency, jitter you got?
