Seeking Help Jio fiber Connection taken under my name Fraudulently?

Subject: Urgent Help Required Regarding Unauthorized Jio Wi-Fi Connection

Dear Friends,
I need your urgent help and guidance.

Today, I received a call from the Jio area administrator informing me that there is a pending bill for a Jio Wi-Fi connection registered under my name. I was shocked, as I have never taken any such connection.

According to him, the connection is active in my name and the KYC has already been completed. I am deeply concerned as this appears to be a case of identity misuse or fraud.

Could anyone please advise me on the appropriate steps I should take to resolve this issue?

I wonder how did they manage to get it under OP's name.

@Slu Did you receive SMS in the past from JioFiber? And did the agent told you your full name when you said you don't have the connection?

It could also be a scam, so beware and definitely not give them a penny even if they warn you of legal consequences.

Try contacting JioFiber yourselves and ask about it all.

No In past I do not have any communication about wifi either on mail or sms..Yes agent told my full name ....

It could be scam then. How would they know your number out of nowhere? If it was registered with any JioFiber connection, they would have sent SMS or WhatsApp messages to you.

Did they tell you the JioFiber number? Got any SMS about it? If yes, try logging into that in Jio's website and see if you get the OTP.

If not, then it is definitely a scam.

You can login in my jio app and see there is any fiber connection in your account.
If not then its definitely a scam.
Don't give them more details about yourself.
Don't click any link .
If sms sender address ended with "-S" then it is from officially jio.
