Tel Aviv-based Spacecom says its recently-launched Amos-5 satellite has won an extra $11 million-worth of business via a “multi-year extension contract for an African client”.
The unnamed client is adding an extra five years to an existing C-band contract. Amos-5 transmits from 17 degrees East, and this particular client is using Amos-5’s pan-African C-band beam.
Amos-5 came into use in January.
