Arun Dhumal, the IPL's chairman, told ESPNcricinfo that the BCCI will seriously consider an expansion to a full home-and-away, 94-match format for the next media-rights cycle, which will start in 2028.

"Definitely, that might be an opportunity," Dhumal said. "We've been discussing in ICC, we've been discussing in-house in BCCI. Given how the interest of the fan is changing with regard to bilateral and ICC events, in regard to franchise cricket and T20 cricket, we'll have to talk more seriously about it and see how we can create maximum value for the stakeholders of the game.

Why not do it like Premier League? Have season start in March and end in October. We can have matches at weekends from Fridays until Sunday. Everyone including the viewers and sponsors wins. Even cricket fatigue won't happen in the middle of the tournament like it happens now. Every match will be considered important. We can even happen International break for 2 weeks inbetween for bilateral and test. Even World Cup will be valued more. Champions Trophy which was supposedly for non elite teams are nowadays competed by bigger teams like India, Australia and New Zealand. No value of ICC trophy is left when some random tournament happens every year.

Why more IPL matches. When we have more ODI and T20 Tournament for our Indian Team to play more matches to practice harder and develop skills to improve batting and bowling style with respected top world cricket teams

IPL makes players so lazy and untalented for International cricket matches.
