Oh yeah!!! Cant wait to see Dhoni again in yellow jersey!!! CSK should some how get Dhoni, Raina, Ashwin, Jadeja and Bravo. Either through retention or RTM or by winning the bid. BMac and Dwyane Smith will be a bonus and notcto forget our very own Murali Vijay. Personally every ex-CSKian will be an asset to lift the trophy again!

Officially Now

IPL franchises will be able to retain a maximum of five players through a combination of pre-auction retention and Right To Match (RTM) cards, the governing council of the tournament resolved on Wednesday (December 6).

The five players secured can include any combination of retention and right-to-match cards with not more than three in either category. That means a franchise not opting to directly retain any player will still be allowed only a maximum of three RTMs at the player auction.

With Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals returning to the fold, the GC announced that: "The player pool available for CSK and RR for retention/RTM will be the players' who played for them respectively in IPL 2015 and who were part of RPS and GL squads in IPL 2017."

What happens if a team retains a player who played for CSK/RR in 2015 but CSK/RR want that player back. Although highly unlikely as most of the important players were in RPS/GL like Dhoni, Raina, Steve Smith, Ashwin, Jadeja, Bravo, Rahane, Faulkner.

One such player that comes to my mind is Watson. He was an important player for RR and now plays for RCB, although don't think any of these 2 teams would want him that eagerly now.

Whom will MI retain directly ? - Rohit, Bumrah and probably Hardik.
