IPL 2018: Two play-off matches shifted to Kolkata from Pune

“The GC has confirmed that Kolkata will host the Eliminator and Qualifier 2 on May 23 and 25 respectively,” IPL GC chairman Rajeev Shukla told PTI.

Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium will play host to the Qualifier 1 and the Final on May 22 and 27 respectively.
The only reason behind CSK to choose Pune was it was hosting the qualifier matches. They could have very well chosen Ranchi like they did before or Kochi or Vizag which is located near Chennai instead and would have suited their spinners much better. Now its a big loss for them after loosing their home games in Chennai.
Yes chances are there for RR if KKR loss some games
But it looks so unlikely. RR has better bowling lineup but KKR has a better balanced team. So in my opinion the 4 teams to qualify for playoffs in random order are CSK, KXIP, SRH, KKR. While DD, MI, RCB are virtually out, RR have a slight chance due to their bowling attack.

Finally! RCB fielded a team which looks much balanced. Though I think Sundar would be better over M Ashwin.
Nice to see Faf making way of Willey. More importantly, that ensures Rayudu back to open. That also eliminates one of the two biggest blunders. But if Jadeja continues to bat above Bravo, God save the (CS) 'King'(s).
