The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is still undecided on the retention rule for the Indian Premier League (IPL), which will have a mega auction before the 2025 edition, but it is understood that the Indian cricket board has not shut the door on the existing 3+1 rule. There are plenty of backers of the existing three retentions and one Right to Match (RTM) card arrangement and not every franchise is in favour of sudden increase in retentions and RTMs.

Although old news
Kkr inspite of win will not able to play final in Eden gardens.Looks like barabati will be option
Nah. BCCI being BCCI they will move it to Ahmedabad, irrespective of the fact that there were two more semifinalists (Jaipur, Bengaluru) who have a greater right than Ahmedabad to host the games.

BCCI did play such politics in 2023 as well, where RR qualified for the 2022 final but Jaipur didn't get to host the Eliminator and Q1, those games went to Chennai at a time when Srini mama was calling the shots in BCCI from the back end..
