“As the IPL was suspended for a week, there is a possibility of the IPL final now being played on May 30 instead of May 25 with limited venues. The schedule will be sent to all IPL teams by tonight,” source in the BCCI informed.

The BCCI has already asked all the teams, except Punjab Kings, to report to their respective venues by Tuesday so that it can resume the IPL by Friday.

With 12 matches remaining , the BCCI at least needs two weeks to complete the remaining matches as the play-offs and the final at least need 6 days. And given they now have only two weeks to complete the tournament, more double headers are being planned.

IPL can start again from 16th. A new schedule is being prepared. Matches can be held in four places. It can be held in Mumbai, Ahmedabad and two cities in the south. A match can also be held in Lucknow because the last match which was shifted from there, all the equipment is still installed there.

There are doubts over whether Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Josh Hazlewood will return; a shoulder niggle had ruled him out of RCB's previous home fixture against Chennai Super Kings on May 3. He was a doubtful starter for RCB's next match against Lucknow Super Giants on May 9 before the tournament was suspended, and he may have missed the remainder of the season even if the tournament had not been interrupted.

Final could be held in Ahmedabad due to cloudy/rainy weather in Kolkata in May end
