As IPL 13(2020) is over so discussing about IPL 14(2021) in that is not appropriate so created new thread so we can discuss here from now onwards.

News for IPL 2021

BCCI said as per reports 9th team will be added to the IPL . Ahmadabad is most likely the team . Also Pune Supergiants wanting to comeback since last year so total 10 teams can play IPL 14.

5th Foreign player may also be allowed to be play in playing XI .

Mega Auction also possible Jan-Feb next year.

as per a report in the Times of India, for the most of IPL Season 13, the franchises had a consensus over not holding a mega auction this term but a couple of franchises since the conclusion of the tournament have changed their stance. The BCCI, however, has asked the franchises to wait until December for them to take the final call on the matter.

I think if other 7 teams want to win the Upcoming ipl then they should make sure that don't involve themselves in any kind of trading with Mumbai Indians atleast.
Cause if they do so then it will be problem for them only as they will find it even more difficult to win. As Mumbai Indians will make themselves even more stronger than earlier just as they did by getting Boult from DC

That's not the solution for other teams. MI just don't trade players for fun. They do bcoz they know how to use them. Even if teams don't trade players with MI they will get that player in auction if they need him or if not then some like to like replacement will be taken.
So in short MI does not win ipl just bcoz they trade good players but bcoz they bring the best out of them which other teams can't.

The 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will likely feature nine or 10 teams. Adani Group and Sanjiv Goenka Group are reportedly interested in buying an IPL team for the next year.

The IPL franchises have been asked to wait for a month and the apex board will soon deliver an official word regarding it. Presently, there are eight teams in IPL.

Even though the board hasn't officially said anything about the new IPL team, a report in Mumbai Mirror suggests that Adani Group and Sanjiv Goenka Group are interested parties and might bid for the ninth team. A few others are also in the fray.

The board's decision regarding the new team will also have a major impact on the IPL 2021 auction. It might organise a mega-auction if new team/teams are added for IPL 2021.
