Intex Technologies on Tuesday said that it has sold over 100,000 smart phones pan-India during the Diwali season. The smartphones were sold through e-commerce platforms and the online sale touched 20% of the overall mobile sales which the company claims is double the share as compared to the previous year’s Diwali online sales.
According to reports, smartphone sales surged by value and volume this Diwali, driven by demand for sub-Rs 20,000 devices both in brickand-mortar stores and ecommerce platforms.
“We are thrilled to announce that Intex has sold 100K+ mobile handsets in online platform alone this Diwali and is an indication of brand Intex’s increasing online reach. Over the past few years, online shopping has gained immense share in the India market driven primarily by tech savvy youth,” said Gurbinder Sodhi, GM- Sales Mobiles, Intex.
“Keeping consumers in mind, Intex has always partnered with popular e-commerce portals to increase online reach and provide innovative products to a wider consumer base at competitive prices,” he added.
