Intex launches Aqua View smartphone and VR cardboard at Rs 8,999

Intex has launched its first VR device called Eyelet, along with 4G -enabled Aqua View smartphone. The company is giving away its Google certified cardboard viewer bundled with Intex Aqua View at Rs 8,999. The devices are available across India through offline channels.

Intex Aqua View features a 5-inch HD display with a pixel resolution of 1280x720p. It comes with 2.5D curved glass display. The home button in Aqua View doubles up as a fingerprint scanner.

The smartphone offers an 8MP rear AF camera with LED flash and 5MP front camera. It runs Android Lollipop 5.1 and has 2,200mAh battery. Intel says the battery provides a talk time of up to 7 hours and a stand by time of 9 days.

Intex Aqua View is powered by a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM (expandable up to 32GB via microSD card).

Intel Eyelet has an in-built cardboard application that allow users to experience content in 360 degree. It runs version 2 of Google cardboard and is compatible with any smartphone that supports Gyroscope and Accelerometer sensors.

The dimensions of Intex Aqua View is 123x64x10.33 mm. The smartphone is available in white and grey colour variants.
