Intex seems to be on a launching spree
as the company has introduced another
budget Aqua series smartphone, the
Aqua X, which is now listed on the
company's site at a price of Rs. 2,699.
The Indian domestic handset maker last
week launched the Intex Aqua Power HD

its website.
The Intex Aqua X is a dual-SIM (GSM
+GSM) device which runs Android 4.4.2
KitKat out-of-the-box. It comes with a
3.5-inch (320x480 pixels) HVGA display
The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz
dual-core processor coupled with 256M
of RAM. Unfortunately, there is no word
on inbuilt storage capacity and
expandable storage support on the Intex
Aqua X.
It sports a 2-megapixel rear camera with
LED flash, while there is a secondary
0.3-megapixel front-facing camera also
onboard. On the connectivity front, the
Intex Aqua X offers GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi,
Micro-USB, AGPS, and Bluetooth options.
Notably, the Aqua X does not support 3

1200mAh battery and is listed in Black
colour.
Last week, Intex launched the the Aqua
Power HD at Rs. 9,444. The dual-SIM

3,490 respectively.
A research firm last week claimed that
Intex was at the third spot in terms of
smartphone shipments in Q4 2014. The
report also revealed that Samsung
topped the smartphone segment in India
in terms of shipments, with a comfortabl
lead over Micromax.
According to Counterpoint's report,
Samsung shipped 27.4 percent, while
Micromax shipped 19.5 percent of the
smartphones in Q4. Intex was at the thir
