Indian handset manufacturer, Intex today launched its next generation HD smartphone - Aqua i5HD. The phone is available in black and white colours and is priced at Rs 9,990. It will be available in the market from today.
The Intex Aqua i5 HD comes with a 5 inch display that has 1280x720 pixels resolution. It is armed with a 1.3 GHz quad core processor, Mali 400 GPU, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, and 1 GB RAM. Intex has also announced that it will roll out the Android KitKat update for this handset this July.
Moreover, the Aqua i5 HD has a 13 megapixel rear camera with flash light, a 5 megapixel front camera, 4 GB internal storage, and 32 micro SD card slot. It has a 2000 mAh battery which is expected to offer decent talktime. Besides, this dual SIM smartphone has WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, Environment Light Sensor, Magnetic Sensor, Proximity Sensor, and G sensor.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, business head of the mobile vertical at Intex said, "At Intex development centre, we constantly conduct surveys to study customer preference and usage patterns. We launched Aqua i5 HD at below 10k price tag for users who adore image quality and love seeing the virtual world come alive at a 5-inch OGS display screen."
Curiously, the older Intex Aqua i5 too is available for around Rs 10,000. The older Aqua i5 has a 5 inch display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1 GB RAM, 32 GB micro SD card slot, 12 megapixel rear camera, 2 megapixel front camera, and a 2000 mAh battery.
