Intex Aqua Fish with Sailfish OS launched at Rs 5,499

Intex has announced the launch of its first Sailfish OS smartphone, Aqua Fish in India. The smartphone runs Sailfish OS developed by former Nokia employees at Jolla. Jolla’s Sailfish OS builds on the legacy MeeGO interface with very clean and easy to learn user interface.

Intex Aqua Fish runs new Sailfish 2.0 OS and will be available on ebay.com at Rs 5,499. Intex says the smartphone will also be available on Flipkart, Amazon and Snapdeal in the coming weeks.

The Intex Aqua Fish features a 5-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor will come bundled with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which is further expandable to 32GB.

Intex Aqua Fish is a 9.6mm thick smartphone and supports android application compatibility. Intex Aqua Fish is operated by simple gestures for easy one hand use. Sailfish OS 2.0’s USP is its faster animation and rich set of UI elements.

Intex Aqua Fish features an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP front camera. The front camera also supports a LED flash for vibrant selfies. The smartphone is backed by a 2,500mAh battery.
