Indian telecom operators are likely to hike mobile tariffs by another 10–20 percent by the end of 2025, marking what could be the fourth major hike in six years, as they sharpen their focus on monetisation amid mounting capital needs and regulatory tailwinds, analysts said.

People are addicted to screens. Even if they hike recharge by 100 per cent. 90 percentage of users will pay to watch crappy reels and watch videos that shall not be named. I get in argument with delivery riders everyday as they can't use basic gps and google maps unless exact location is shared with them.

Tariffs are increasing and networks are deteriorating. Money is going to their pockets. Zero investments on network expansion. Government is doing nothing to prevent duopoly. They are talking about network improvement in rural areas when the network in urban areas is also pathetic. Jio network in Delhi NCR is at the level when it was launched in 2016. Jio network in Uttrakhand and Bangalore is also pathetic. Jio's license should be cancelled.

Telco cooking us again damn! o_O if they hike another round then only two options left

1. Use tariff protection plans in JIO if existing OR
2. accept BSNL with open arms and a heavy heart!

Accepting BSNL is only option right now. Or just buy unlimited voice calling plans only. Use FTTH for data purposes.
It seems as if Pvt. Indian telco is hell bent to conjure up those 2009 black times. High mobile tariffs, untouchable mobile internet plans and all kinds of circus. :verysad2:

Yes. Especially I feel, Airtel will soon touch 499 ARPU before 2028. I hope by that time, Airtel moves to SA and Jio deploys mmwave atleast. Phone above 1L should have mmwave support, S26U should incorporate it first and 600Mhz band support. I am sure 24+1TB version of OnePlus 14/15 will touch 1L.
