India U-17 football team to play Italy on May 19

NEW DELHI: India colts will lock horns with Italy on Friday, in what will be another tough test, as a part of its preparation for the upcoming FIFA U-17 World Cup.
The match will be held in Arezzo. Luis Norton de Matos' side lost 1-2 to Sporting Lisbon in the last match of its exposure trip to Europe on May 10.

Indian National Football becomes the Bullet train from being "the freight carrier"...

India to play 15 international matches in 13 months

The Indian National Football team that used to be a slow moving carrier train some years back has suddenly being transformed into a high speed Bullet train!!

The National team that used to hardly play 3-4 international matches a year till a few years back would be playing 15 matches in the next 13 months. Oh yes thats right, 15 matches in just about a year.

As per the press release by AIFF, India is set to play 15 matches between March 2017 and March 2018. Of these, 8 of the matches will be played at home and all of them will be telecasted live on Star Sports, thanks to the new broadcasting deal.
